An edit of ‘Million Dollar Bill’ by Whitney Houston

Houston We Have a Mash-up. Genius of Time with Simonetti’s. Respect to Josh Silver for doing something similar (live) in a set & giving me the idea.

I am the dreamer and you are the dream.

My favourite gig of 2013
"It was one of those Hip Hop shows you hear about and are more than a little bit scared of. I am still shaking a bit from the adrenaline as I type. From the moment DJ Oreo came on stage to ‘warm-up’ the crowd it just went bananas. This was Chance the Rapper’s first headline show overseas and it sold out a month ago. In just two hours. I haven’t seen a performance this exhilarating since the Prodigy and that was when I was thirteen so quite hard to top."

Cute girls and the House music hive mind

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

"There is a distinct sound to all of the videos in question that we are going to call Cute House (don’t worry, this won’t catch on). A Rom-Com antithesis to the Pop-Horror of what Dubstep became, Cute House is emotion rather than bass driven & lends itself well to your laptop speakers."

I actually wrote this article in Summer but the problem persists. I also needed a reason to post this gif. You can read the full article HERE.

(Are you drunk right now?)
I’m just saying you could do better
Tell me have you heard that lately?
I’m just saying you could do better
And I’ll start hating only if you make me

An edit of ‘Two Time Love’ by Spooky Tooth

I’ve visited New York City every Summer for the past three. This July I was left to my own devices & spent two days trawling record shops mainly in Brooklyn & Alphabet City. My hands down favourite was A1 records (between Avenue A & 1st Ave), it was as if someone had Truman-Show-styled a shop based on my Youtube “wants-list”. The coolest guy I’ve ever seen was playing beat-up records at the till. One of them was ‘The Mirror’ by Spooky Tooth & I bought it for fifty cents along with too many others.

Video interview at the Company mag party

Before my set at the @companymagazine party I sat down with a riotous @angelascanlon (she’s awesome) to talk about floor fillers. There were performances from Chloe Howl and Findlay too. Also, Matt Goss turned up in a trilby so all bases were covered. The video is quite long, I don’t start embarrassing myself until around 17 & a half minutes.

An edit of ‘Ghetto Woman’ from the B.B King live in London LP

I’ve heard some bad music in my time….
"A few years back, while in a shop, a song came on the radio that was so poor I had to ask a member of staff whether it was real. It was Black Eyed Peas “I Gotta Feeling”, I even shudder just typing the name. I worry that perhaps by just mentioning it in this article I am somehow helping its cause. Is that how search results work? Is this a fanning of flames? I do not know. I am not a doctor."
